with
Periperhal Media Projects + Mesh Count (magazine!)
Peripheral Media Projects + Mesh Count (magazine!) team up to offer Brooklyn the finest of screenprinting experiences. This is a three class program beginning Tuesday February 5th. The remaining classes will take place the following Tuesdays (the 12th & the 19th). Workshop classes begin at 6:30pm and run through to 9:30pm.
Basic Silkscreen covers everything necessary (creation of films / set up of screens / inks used / reclaiming of screens) to make a screen and print on paper and textiles. Students will also receive 1 aluminum frame (156 mesh count screen / 20" x 28" inner dimension) and their very own 14" squeegee (medium durometer). Also included is a copy of issue #3 of Mesh Count (magazine!) --> w/limited edition wrap. For a sneak peak please click the below link:www.pollutedeyeball.com/mcm3_wraps.htm

i'm interested in meeting with people to help in the continued growth of this publication. areas of help needed...maintenence of the mesh count myspace page, advertising sales, store distribution. i currently handle all of these areas though as this promotional trip/issue #3 release with peripheral media projects (affectionately dubbed --> sunshine + whores tour '07) extends i find the need for more and more help inside + outside of the studio.
the response to this release has once again been super! the next projected release is set for chicago (end of june '07) @ flatstock 13. followed by a release in seattle in the beginning of september.

Has your mind ever asked itself the question: ?I wonder what the
artist was thinking while this was created?? Yep, that?s right, I talk to
myself. Sometimes, a little bit too much. But by doing so I thought of
numerous questions that I wanted to ask other silkscreen printers. All
those questions amounted to something and suddenly Mesh Count
(magazine!) was born.
It?s taken time to figure out how the process of a magazine works. A
lot goes into trying to make each issue happen. Hey, I?m not 100% of
the way there yet but?that?s partly the reason this keeps me
interested. I believe that as long as I?m still interested in producing a
high quality magazine about screenprint artists from all over the world,
in all likelihood, my readers will maintain interest along with each
release.
So, to wrap this all up, continue with your efforts to learn about
others, others in the screenprint art form. Support their efforts by
visiting their website, purchasing a poster or tee shirt and help spread
their creations to your friends, family, coworkers, etc?
Best,
